Intel processors Kaby Lake in general will further improve the performance of the core (we can expect an increase of 5-10%) unless Intel is planning to do something very different to Kaby Lake that seems very unlikely. At Kaby Lake series U and Y in their launch, Intel said that Kaby Lake has the same IPC as Skylake but offers an increased clock speed and efficiency.
This new processor will retain the basic features for overclocking enthusiasts as BCLK increases for various overclocking and selection 95W "Unlocked". Intel PCH Series 200 is an important update for the upcoming processor family as it will enable support for them.
Intel PCH 200 series will include some SKUs such as Z270, H270, Q270, Q250 and B250. The new PCH will offer support for Intel technologies Optane. The new technology using Intel 3D XPoint memory will provide a very high performance of SSD and solutions for the memory. Kaby Lake will be available in the market around the same time when AMD will also launch their latest products.
