What Is Cyclops ?
In Greek and Roman Mythology, the Cyclops is a member of a primordial race of giants, each with a single eye in the middle of his forehead. Most likely this myth was created from one of the inherited disorder called Cyclopia where human baby has only one central eye.
for those of you who like the mythological creature certainly is not foreign to you, Cyclops often appear in games and in films such as the wrath of the titans there looks to be their cyclpos in these times.
In Greek mythology, the Cyclops is a one-eyed creatures.
There are several versions of the story that included a kind of Cyclops creatures as one of the characters.
Writer Hesiod said that the Cyclopes - which is the plural form - the three sons of Uranus and Gaea.
They were thrown into Tartarus, but released by Zeus for the overthrow of Cronus.
The third named Cyclopes Brontes which means "thunder," Steropes which means "lightning", and Arges, which means "bright". in Hesiod, they are makers of lightning and thunder of Zeus, Hades helmet, and Poseidon's trident.
Another story states that the Cyclopes airport Hephaestus at the workshop habitual. In this version, the Cyclopes is a blacksmith who lit the fire volcanic where Hephaestus make armor for gods and goddesses.
For example, in a hymn by Callimachus, Artemis asked for bows and arrows to Zeus were forged by the Cyclopes.
Another tradition considers Cyclopes is a tribe of Thrace, which is named after the name of their king and who built Cyclopean walls. But the most famous version of Cyclops is likely to come from the story of Homer's Odyssey.
On the way home, Odysseus met with a race of giant shepherd into a cave dwellers. Curious, Odysseus along with twelve of his men visit and wait for their return to the cave. One successful Cyclops named Polyphemus they encountered. Odysseus and his men ended up staying in a cave. Instead of getting the proper treatment, Odysseus actually imprisoned in a cave and two of his men eaten by Cyclops.
Odysseus then devise a plan to escape. He made drunken Polyphemus, gouged out his eyes, and helped his men fled from the cave. Because Odysseus told Polyphemus that his name is "No Man," when asked for help, Cyclops shouted that "No Man is killing me" thus confusing his friends. But from the ship, Odysseus revealed his real name, which allows Polyphemus call his father, Poseidon, to avenge. As a result, Odysseus must undergo a lengthy return trip because of Poseidon in his way to get back home.

Polyphemus was also mentioned in a poem by Theocritus, which tells Polyphemus attempts to seduce a nymph named Galatea, after first killing his lover, Acis. Galatea eventually transform Acis into a river when he was dying and had no interest in the Cyclops Polyphemus. it is some penjealsan about Cyclops Mythology
